We welcome volunteers to join us in our service to the autism community. Please note that volunteer opportunities at SAAC are during our hours of operation on weekdays.
We have a few basic requirements for those who would like to volunteer with us. These include:
-
- being at least 18 years old
- being physically fit
- accepting the terms and conditions (eg. no photography or videography)
- abiding by a Pledge of Confidentiality
- being available to volunteer regularly between 8.30am to 1.00pm, 1.00pm to 5.30pm, or 9.00am to 3.00pm on one or more weekdays, for at least two months
Volunteers are generally deployed to help in classrooms or as extra pairs of eyes and hands to help ensure the safety of our students, and adult clients when classes head out for community trips. In addition to this, we currently have opportunities for volunteers to help with our school’s Co-curricular Activities (CCA) sessions on Wednesdays, in particular in the afternoon. If you’re available and interested in volunteering to help with the CCAs, please select “Co-curricular Activities Support (School – on Wednesdays) in the volunteer application form (linked below).
Application Process
If you have the passion to work alongside us as a volunteer, submit your application through this online form. Please note that we will contact you by email if there is a suitable volunteer opportunity.
Important Note
If you plan to apply to volunteer with us, please do not simultaneously apply for a job with us.
