Dignity of Work

Enabling persons with moderate autism to contribute to society in their own way

Designed for persons with moderate autism who are work capable, Dignity of Work provides a sheltered work environment for adults with moderate autism who are not yet ready for open employment but have much to contribute with the right support.

Dignity of Work currently operates across two tracks: horticulture and baking. All trainees are supported by our job coaches, in concert with our industry partners.

At its core, Dignity of Work addresses an employment gap for those with moderate autism. The programme provides:

Sheltered work environment customised for persons with moderate autism

Provides meaningful engagement while providing respite for caregivers

Person-first way to address the post-18 cliff and employment challenges faced by persons with autism

SAAC continues to seek industry partners to expand supported employment opportunities for persons with moderate autism.

Do get in touch at [email protected] should you be interested in partnering us to provide supported employment opportunities for persons with autism.
